Wizz Air introduces routes from Bucharest to Goteborg, Nice from next year
Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air will operate two new routes from Bucharest to Goteborg and Nice next year, said yesterday Owain Jones, Wizz Air chief corporate officer.
It will launch the new routes in April 2018, and will include two weekly flights to Goteborg and three flights per week to Nice. Ticket prices for the two routes will start from RON 129 (EUR 28.3). Wizz Air’s fleet in Romania will receive a new Airbus A321 aircraft, with 230 seats. It will allow the company to increase the number of weekly flights from Bucharest to destinations like London, Tel-Aviv, Barcelona, Geneva, Bari, and Paris. Wizz Air transported over 1.5 million passengers to and from Bucharest in the first six months of this year, up 40% year-on-year. In Romania, the airline has a market share of 31.1%.
